                                                              Pastor’s Thoughts

                                            Humble, Pray and Seek:

Turning from self and sin to the Savior

These are the words that have been given to me this year for 2011.  During my consecration time I sought and heard from the Lord on the direction of our church and ministry.  During 2010 God has allowed the visitation of the Holy Spirit in our services and we have been a witness to some powerful movements of God.  I am very humbled by the presence of God in our church services and what He has done in our midst.  It is my prayer and desire that God will continue to use us in His service to promote the kingdom of God. I am also thankful that God has blessed us with 22 new members in 2010.

I am excited and greatly anticipate the movements of God in our midst for 2011 and we must stay ready and true to the work of the Lord.  We must understand that God desires to do a mighty work with the people who are ready and willing.  We will focus on the scripture 2 Chronicles 7:14, which tells us to be humble, to pray and to seek His face.  I want the Lord to have His way in all facets of this ministry and we shall put Him first in all things.  There will be unity and love flowing through us and in the church for the year of 2011.  This will be accomplished by putting God first, your brother and sisters needs and allowing the Holy Spirit to minister to you.  I promise you by the Word of God that if you stay humble, God will elevate you to new levels this year that you have not been to or witness before…

The early church in the book of Acts remained humble, and God did miraculously things in their midst.  Because they were with one accord, did things uniformly and were humbled enough to serve one another, God added to the church as needed.  God gave them favor with people because of their willingness to serve and stay together.  I truly believe that “God is changing lives at the Chapel.”   I want to take this opportunity to thank the Ministers, Deacons, Deaconess, Mothers, Ministry Leaders and the entire church for your work, prayers and support you have given to this ministry and to me.  We need each other to fulfill the vision and destiny God has for us.  It is my prayers that we will continue to serve Him in unity.

As I close this letter, I want to remind you of what I started this letter off with, Humble, Pray, Seek His face.  2 Chronicles 7:14 gives us the order of how to hear from God and keep Him in our lives.  This is what we will focus on this year in 2011 and we will watch how God adds to the church…

In His Service,

Pastor Randy Barr, Sr.
